Hi the anteverted uterus measures 77x57x36mm in diameters. The endometrium measures 18.7mm in Ap diameter. No sign of an intrauterine gestation seen. What is that? Alsoi have polycystic ovaries and a 25x28mm fbroid seen in the posterior myometrium.what does that mean. Would this affect me from getting pregnant. Or is this a possibility of me being pregnant an it cannot be seen because my womb is to the back?
Your ultrasound finding suggests uterus is normal in size and there is 25x28 mm fibroid in posterior wall of the uterus. Fibroid is a benign tumour of uterus and its treatment depend upon many things like age, symptoms, family is completed or not. Fibroid can be managed by conservative means or by surgery. It need proper evaluation.
Your ultrasound findings may also suggests polycystic ovarian disease(PCOD). Infertility due to PCOD is generally a treatable condition. PCOD should be confirmed by clinical correlation and biochemical markers like hormonal assay for PCOD. PCOD is a curable disease and mostly it is treated by medicines.Surgical intervention is required in very few cases.
