What Does My Urinalysis Test Result Indicate Post Labiaplasty?

Hi, i am 19 days post labiaplasty, all is healing well apart from a small area where the stitches separated early on but seems to be filling in and healing well. I just tested positive for leukocytes in my urine after using a dipstick all other findings are NAD. Is this indicactive of an infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Mere presence of leukocytes in urine might be normal or might also indicate infection. Presence of leuckocytes could be also due to local reaction to the labiaplasty procedure. Infection could be told if it is present or not in case we know the count of number of leukocytes.
To confirm weather infection is present or not, you need to take a swab from secretions or with urine sample and get its culture and sensitivity done.
Accordingly, you can take the antibiotic course for which the organisms are sensitive to.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
