I am a 65 year old female and my urinalysis showed pH 8.0 Sp. gravity 1.020 Protein +1 Glucose +1 Ketones negative Nitrites negative leukocyte esterase positive Microscopic: 10 hyaline casts (LPF) RBCs 10 (HPF) WBC's 30 Bacteria present 1. My urine appeared hazy and amber in color. I have had frequency and urgency for the past 5 days. What do you think?
Hi The urine analysis is suggestive of urinary infection. Please give a sample for urine culture and sensitivity and start on antibiotics as norfloxacin 400 mg twice daily or trimethoprim 200 mg twice a day (requires doctors prescription) until culture reports are back.
Also consider taking cranberry capsules 2 capsules three time a day.
