Hi and welcome to HCM..
I thank you for posting your query here and I'm definitely going to help you out..
I am really sorry for your health condition..
I being a surgeon, we encounter so many such cases day in and day out..
I read your question completely and have understood it well enough..
I will analyze all your points and provide necessary treatment..
Do not worry.. This can be treated.
It's definitely an
urinary tract infection, Uti as you rightly are guessing..
Please note the following few facts..
1. Uti is the most common urinary infection
2. Commonly seen in female due to anatomic differences..
3. Can be treated and do not worry..
4. Called
honeymoon cystitis, if seen in newly married couple.
Well your report reads..
1.
Fever with lower
back pain, suggests Uti.. In a setting of such a urine report.
Good that you got urine test done..
2. Pus cells more than 10, strongly indicates Uti. Upper Normal limit is up to 5.
So you have an Uti..
But what organism? What antibiotic to use?
For this..
Please get a urine culture and sensitivity test done..
This will clear the air..
Anyway, please start on Tablet
Levofloxacin 500mg once a day, for 7 days.
Meanwhile if you get culture report, switch over to sensitive antibiotic.
3. Protein is ok now, because you have an Uti.
You can re check after a month or so..
4. Rest all are fairly normal.
Acidic urine,
epithelial cells wont make much of a difference..
5. But prevention is better than cure, so that next time on you should not contract this Uti.
A. Drink lot of water, around 4 to 5 litre a day.
B. Personal hygiene
C. Do not store urine for long time. Keep clearing bladder regularly.
Hope this helps, in case you need any further assistance, please let me know..
Take care and God bless..
