My baby girl is 20 month old.we done her urine RE. The first report is--- Albumin (protein):M.trace Pus cell :5-6 RBC : 6-8 E cell : A few. Than Dr.gave her antibiotic for 10days.after that we do test again.than the next report is... Albumin (protein) : Trace RBC : Nil E cell :a few Pus cell :1-2. Now I want to know if my baby is ok or not?is there any need to worry about her kidney? Plz help me.i am little worried about this.what should I do now?
Noted the history about your 20 year old baby. The urine usually shows trace proteins if it has got more WBC and pus cells. Since the repeat test have lesser pus and other cells the baby is surely improving well. Hence not to worry about. It is best to get additional tests: Urine culture and sensitivity if there is recurrence of the problem. Ultrasonography of abdomen. Tests of blood for WBC and kidney functions. All these things will add on clearing the diagnosis and getting added on additional medications if needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
