hi doc i want to seek your advice coz i have a uti before but then last week goes again i have pain in urinating and there is a blood also coming out while im urinating so i take bactrim for 1 week. the blood stop, but the pain in urinating still goes but not too much.. i went yo the doctor now and here s the result...pus cells-- 16-18 , RBC 0-2 , Albumin - trace , color--- yellow.... is it alarming?
Findings may suggests urinary tract infection(UTI). UTI is indicated by presence excessive pus cells in urine. Occasional RBC may be due to UTI. Trace amount of albumin is normally found in urine.
You need clinical correlation and investigations like routine hemogram, renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Leukocyte esterase test and nitrite test can be done for confirmation of UTI.
Proper antibiotics should be prescribed after culture and sensitivity report. You should drink plenty of water.
It is not a serious condition. You should consult your doctor.
