What Does My Uterus Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?
Hi doctor my question,bulky anteverted uterus containing a gestation sac without demonstrable embryo in situ.GSD-23.5mm GA-6wks 6ds+15ds LMP-19/10/2016.the myometrium appears uniform and the internal os is closed.there is no evidence of adnexal mass or fluid collection in the pouch of Douglas .

Pouch of douglas is a space just behind uterus. Fluid gets collected in this space if there is any pathology like rupture of fallopain tube, endometriosis, peritonotis etc.
Internal os is a ring like structure in neck of uterus that opens into vaginal cavity. It is usually closed in normally.
Gestational sac is a pouch like structure in which embryo grows. USG can pick up cardiac activity inside this sac.
LMP is last menstrual period and i assume you meant 19/01/2016.
GA means Gestational Age is 6 weeks 6 days
GSD means gestational sac diameter.
