Hi Doc, I had my xray and the results are below: My radiologist compared this to my old films. Shows regression/resolution of the right apical infiltrates with few fibrosis. The rest of the lung fields are clear. Normal cardiac size. What does this means? I am worried if this will ground for sputum testing?
According to reports there is improvement in the status of infiltration in apical region of right lung.It is also associated with few fibrosis which is indicative of healing process.Formation of fibrosis is normal phenomenon which is sequel of infection. Sputum examination is not necessary in your case as it is showing signs of improvement. Rest of the areas of lung are normal. Cardiac size is also normal. Hope i have answered your query. Get well soon.
