My grandmother is 74 years old. She was suffering from body pain for 1 week. Took an xray as per and the result is as below Cariomegaly noted Unfolded aorta Small nodular lesion in the left midzone Linear atelectasis / fibrotic band in the left lower zone Pulmonary hila appear normal Cp angles clear Diffuse osteopenia noted Please advise on treatment.
Cardiomegaly means that the heart is enlarged, it may be significant or minor enlargement. One common cause is high blood pressure. It can be associated with heart failure in some persons.
Atelectasis is collapse of an area of the lung. Based on the description, it is possible that she had an infection of the lung.
Diffuse osteopenia means that there is weakening of the bone. This may or may not lead to osteoporosis.
