hi im ryan my result of my xray is pneumonitis vs.ptb (r)upper lung field(m)then after evaluating doctor said take medicine for 7 days clarithromycin right after 7 days im going back for refeat xray, then the result is No significant change in the right suprahilar infiltrates.please help me what does it means?
Hi, Initial X-ray report was inconclusive and hence give antibiotics to treat pneumonia. But repeat X-ray is unfortunately showing that it could be pulmonary tuberculosis, as the lesion has not responded to antibiotics. You need to take strictly 6 months regime for Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Don't have to worry much as if you take proper treatment without missing a single dose, tuberculosis is curable. Have patience and maintain strict compliance. Maintain good nutrition also during the treatment for 6 months.
