What Does Neoclear Stress Test Mean?

Hi, my cardiologist advised me to do neoclear stress test? I did stress test before, he said during the stress test in my EKG there were some abnormalities that s why I need to do this test. My question is if there any any side effect of the medication that will be used for the neoclear stress test?

Hi,
In nuclear stress test a radioactive dye is injected which is taken up by heart muscle (myocardium) which is picked up by special imaging technique.
During stress (exercise) blood supply to heart increases and uptake of dye by myocardium increases as compare to rest. Depending upon uptake pattern area of deficient blood supply can be picked up.
Dye has short activity it do not have long term effect.
Only possible side effect is allergic reaction to dye, which can be taken care with antiallergic medicine.
