Hi. I have a question about weather I am miscarriaging or not. I had an ultrasound last Tuesday and they found that I was 6.6 weeks pregnant. They did not find a fetal poIe and I was also spotting lightly. Now is heavier and Im camping. With my prior baby I bled a lot and he was born a healthy baby.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Fetal pole is usually picked up by 6 weeks, but may appear sometimes late by a week to ten days. However, spotting and cramping is not a healthy sign in the earlier weeks of pregnancy and could increase the chances for miscarriage, as you are suspecting. You need to take adequate bed rest and avoid strenuous physical activity for at least 2 weeks from now. You need to confirm about the appearance of fetal pole and cardiac activity by ultrasound scan between 8 to 10 weeks, to say that the pregnancy is viable. Drink good quantities of fluid and eat health foods in the meantime and hope for the best.
