What Does Node At The Right Side On Base Of The Skull Indicate?
I have discovered a node at the right side, base of the skull and if you follow it down, another node approx. 3 inches away from the first. My guess would be about 1/4 inch round in size. I did look up lymph nodes, but I do not believe it is actually on a lymph line, but perhaps thyroid?
You need proper clinical examination.Swelling may be due to enlarged lymph node.It is the site of draining lymph nodes from head and neck.Usually it is due to benign reasons like scalp infection (due to dandruff, louse etc),infection in external ear, throat infection etc. In most of the cases it doesn't require any treatment and it will resolve after some time. However other skin lesions like lipoma, neurofibroma etc need to be ruled out.
Proper treatment depend upon clinical examination and investigation reports.
Hope i have answered your query.
