What Does Non Reactive HIV Architect I2000sr Test Mean?

Dear Doctor,

Just 3 weeks ago, I had protected anal sex with a guy I found out to be reactive with HIV. I am afraid of having been infected with HIV. I tested myself last night with Architect i2000sr and the result came out nonreactive after 3 weeks of post exposure. Please discuss to me the chances and possibly the facts i need to know... Thank you!

You are putting yourself at stress without any reason. If you had protected anal sex with a positive guy and the condom did not break , then your chances of acquiring HIV is as good as nil.
As HIV needs abraded skin/mucosa to enter which in your case was not there (protected )
Secondly even if it were unprotected , your chances would have been minimal as receptive partners do have greater chances due to the fact that semen gets deposited in anus and anal are being very fragile and with little space , there is always chance of getting some abrasion in the anal mucosa , which is again not your case.
