What Does Numbness In The Middle Finger Indicate?

I have 5 stitches in the palm of my hand right on my life line , it happen 6 days ago my ring finger and middle finger is still numb but every once in awhile I will get a really bad like sharp pain run through it? Does this mean it’s healing or is something wrong?

This sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome can be treated by various methods. Surgery is the most successful and oermanent solution while other methods are sufficient for symptoms relief. Beside surgery, options include wrist splinting, medications and alternative methods.Splinting and other conservative treatments are more likely to help if you've had only mild to moderate symptoms for less than 10 months. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB, others), may help relieve pain from carpal tunnel syndrome in the short term. If carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by rheumatoid arthritis or another inflammatory arthritis, then treating the arthritis may reduce symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. TO relief pain you should follow Lifestyle and home remedies: Take short breaks from repetitive activities involving the use of your hands, lose weight if you are overweight or obese, Avoid sleeping on your hands.
