Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had plantar fasciitis pain for about 6 months. I have worn an arch support sole insert for about 3 months. It is only my left foot. Also, almost 2 years ago, my left big toe became numb and I could no longer spread it. It is no longer numb but I can not spread it as much as I used to.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Great toe numbness is seen commonly with gout and vitamin B12 deficiency. So better to get done serum uric acid level to rule out gout. Get done serum vitamin b 12 level and if Deficiency than you will need supplements. If uric acid is raised then you should restrict protein intake and start allopurinol or febuxostat to reduce uric acid. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
