What Does Numbness On The Index Finger Indicate?

the index finger of my left hand is bruised for no apparent reason and just went numb. this happened 3 weeks ago to the ring finger of my left hand and took about 24 hours to get back to normal. I had surgery 4 years ago for carpal tunnel syndrome on this hand.

there are possible 2 reasons for your numbness
either the blood supply to your index finger is hampered
you can check for it by pressing you tip of the finger for 10 seconds and releasing it, if t turns red than the blood supply is intact and that reason can be ruled out
second is the nerve of the index finger is compressed for that you need to see a neurologist

I would recommend start vitamin b complex like neurobeon 1 tab once in the morning for 1 month, this should help with your nerve related issue

for blood supply problem it resolves on its own as the blood vessels develop Co lateral circulation

feel free to revert back with your doubts
