What Does Numbness On The Left Foot Indicate?

My left foot has been numb for two months, numbness on right side, including toes. This week, it progressed to severe burning pain. I am having more trouble walking. The burning pain keeps me awake at night, lasts all day. I am going to the doctor tomorrow.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your question.

Numbness and pain in the feet is mostly of neurological origin. It usually happens due to some problem with the nerve. This can be from a disc that is compressed in your lower back or along the pathway of nerve as it goes down to the feet.
It also happens due to diabetes or deficiency of vitamin b12 but thats usually in both the feet.
I would advise you to see the physician. If you have any associated back pain a lower back MRI would be helpful. You can also go ahead and do an nerve conduction study which will definitely answer your questions.
I would advise you to take neurobion (vitamin b12 complexes).

Wishing you good health.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.
Best regards.
I find this answer helpful
