General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Mr.Farooq,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be drawn based on the semen analysis report you have enclosed.
1. Volume, Colour and pH is normal.
2. Sperm count is less than normal. It is called 'oligospermia'.
3. Sperm motility with 50% actively motile is good.
4. Sperm morphology with 70% normal forms is also good.
5. Microscopy indicating plenty of pus cells is indicating infection of testis and/or epididymis, termed as 'Epididymo-orchitis'.
Hence, you need to take a long course of oral antibiotics like Levofloxacin, to be taken once a day for two weeks.
Along with it, it would be advisable to take medications containing L-carnitine, Alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, Zinc and Lecithin as ingredients for a month.
You need to repeat semen analysis following the treatment, to look for improvement in the count and motility.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
