Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Ostium Of The Right Coronary Artery Is High Mean?
what is it call when the ostium of the right coronary artery is high just above the sinotubular junction and is in line with the commissure between the right and left coronary sinuses its ostium is oval there is acute angulation of the proximal segment and a short (4 to 5 mm) intramural segment appears qualitatively narrowed before achieving a rounded cross - section and normal course the right coronary artery is dominant
As there is high ostium of the coronary artery with angulation of the proximal segment and short intramural segment, atherosclerosis of the vasculature via raised levels of high cholesterol must be the priority considered in this case. Kindly consult an expert cardiologist with relevant blood sample reports , 2D Echo of heart and angiography of the coronary circulation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
