What Does Pain And Swelling In The Lower Abdomen Indicate?

Hello. I am experience some pain (not sharp, not bad, kind of like a low grade cramp) on my middle to lower right side. It s almost like I feel swollen in this area. I have had this pain more and more frequently in the last year. Usually I notice it the most when I need to have a good poo . I have used milk of magnesia in the past. And usually that takes care of it. Never have experienced for this many day consistently. This time it started Fri afternoon with a just sligh stomach ache. Took some pepto n had some ginger ale. Felt well enuff to eat a grilled chz n fries ( I know-not a healthy choice-was at bar). Got home n took milk of mag-had some diarrhea type poos in am (after coffee) with a little relief. Didn t eat till about 2pm next day. No changes 1 way or the other. Had dry popcorn at fair later. Now today I feel all bloaty again. Have had several poos. Some solid-some not so much. No big turds . Don t want to eat. Stomache doesn t feel hard (sometimes it has) Tummy is very noisy-gurgling. Pain is there again on right middle abdomen-that stuffed feeling.. I do have terrible acid reflux. About a week n a half ago I got blood when I poo d. Not in it-but coming out with it. I do have hemroids -so have seen it before. And I felt fine at the time. It did do this for a few days, and this was longer than usual, but I had been eating my fiber pretty good too and I was getting those lg turds!

Hello. You are having acid peptic reflux. You need to follow some lifestyle tips to combat this condition

1. Do not eat spicy food
2. Take medications for gastritis- pantop/omez/rantac
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm
4. Drink plenty of water
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis
7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day
8. Learn meditation techniques
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit
