What Does Pain Around The Abdomen On The Right Side Indicate?
Hi my name is Kathy, I m 59 years old. I had my gallbladder last September. I just recently started having the same pains I did when I had my gallbladder out. The pain is on my right side middle back, I can also feel the pain wrapping around to front of stomach. This started on Sunday when walking the grocery isles. I m sitting at the moment and feel the pain in the back. Do you think maybe it could be kidney stones? My urine is bright yellow to pale yellow. Thank you
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You need to do the following tests in the nearest medical center:
• Complete clinical assessment.
• Urine analysis.
• Ultrasound of the abdomen.
• Other tests according to the initial assessment such as stool analysis for H-pylori infection.
• Endoscope.
It might be the result of kidney stone, especially if associated with painful urination and other symptoms.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Take care.
