I am a 52 year old female who for the last several month has been experiencing pain in my left hamstring area, and now it is in the left buttock as well. When I lay on my left side, my left foot is feeling like it is on fire and now that burning sensation is starting to be there all the time whether im laying down or not. What is going on with me, please help?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my knowledge to handle such patients, the pain around hamstring of left side with buttock suggest possible nerve compression at lower spinal cord level. After clinical evaluation, I suggest to undertake an MRI of the concerned region to find out the cause and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
