What Does Pain Around The Spleen Area Indicate?

Hi, I started noticing a pain in my spleen last week. I feel pain in it everytime i touch it. Then the next day it became bigger and now i can actually feel the round-shaped thing under my left rib. Everytime i cough i feel a little pain like whenever i touch it. I m worried about what it is, I never experienced this before.

hello welcome to healthcaremagic.

I am Dr. Arpit varshney and i will surely help you out.

please understand that pain from abdominal organ pathology cant be localised definitely i.e it can not be pin pointed. it is a diffuse pain.
so if you are experiencing pain in splenic area that means it can be your kidney/aorta/mesentry/ pancreas as well

so in order to find out a root cause, the most suited investigation for you are ultrasound and CECT whole abdomen.

also i would like to know history of blood tumors in you or your family.

I hope this helps.
please feel free to revert back in case of any further concerns/queries.
i wish for your good health
thank you.
