Hi, I m a 73 y.o. woman in relatively good health . The last few days I ve been experiencing pain at the base of my right thumb . There is the same discomfort ( on a lesser scale ) in my left thumb . It subsides somewhat when I m not using it , but it remains sensitive . Thank you for any insight .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems like mild infection on affected site. You can take aceclofenac and paracetamol combination twice a day for five days. Physiotherapy is also helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
