General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

This could be either due to arthritis or due to the baker's cyst. Please consult an orthopedic doctor to get examined. Baker's cyst will show mild to moderate bulging behind knee and it will be painful on touch.

Arthritis pain usually is different which causes pain on walking. However pain behind knee could be earlier sign. So, it is better to consult an orthopedic doctor. Get x-ray done to rule out above conditions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
