What Does Pain Behind The Neck On The Left Side Indicate?

I have pain on my left and back side of my neck and head. I can t turn to the left very much. It is hard to find a comfortable spot to sit or lay down. I ve been to the chiropractor once and she adjusted me and I felt a little better, but i know I will have to go back again. I feel a little numbness on my left side of neck and down my jaw line. Please advice.
