Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having a pain in the back of my right thigh which is pretty constant which is very uncomfortable when sitting. The constant pain in the back of my right thigh has been continuous for about 3 weeks. I have just started to receive a constant pain in my right forearm. Please advise what this could be.
I had gone through your medical history and condition. I can understand your pain and anxiety.
As per your presentation the pain is constant, one sided, uncomfortable in sitting position. This type of pain (neuropathic pain) mostly occurs in case of any pressure or damage to the nerve supplying that area. In sitting position the nerve will get more strained, hence pain increases. The same thing might have been occuring in forearm also.
You can confirm by nerve conduction tests. Coming to treatment part you can follow the below pattern: 1. use non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs 2. you can also use diclofenac sprays 3. take vit- B12 tablets 4. physiotherapy helps to some extent 5. check for risk factors like diabetes.
These measure can help you to recover soon from your symptoms. Don't get worried and try to follow the above thing for speedy recovery.
