What Does Pain Below The Knees Indicate?

Sharp, short pain that comes every few minutes just below knee. No outward sign that there is anything wrong. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but have not had this consistent pain before yesterday and it is still happening today. Should i make an appointment ASAP or wait and see if it stops?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As it is persistent pain, you need clinical examination by doctor and x-ray knee to find out the cause of pain. So please visit the doctor as soon as possible. Till visit, you can take any painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen or diclofenac or aceclofenac.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
