What Does Pain Below The Ribcage On The Right Side Indicate?
Regarding my 26 year old granddaughter who is experiencing pain below her right rib. We the past week she was seen for similar symptoms which radiated to her back. She was x-rayed for lung problems and also worked up for possible gall bladder issues. The general diagnosis she ended up with was a likely virus between her lungs and chest wall. Eventually the pain left until now.??
Hi Thanks for trusting healthcaremagic for your health issues.
Does she have problem in breathing? fever? or any other symptoms like decreased appetite, recent weight loss? If none of above symptoms are present and investigations related to lung are normal there might be intercostal muscle pain. For that you can try Diclofenac + Chlorzoxazone 12 hourly for 2 days. If still pain persist, consult pulmonary physician.
I hope this will help you.
Regards Dr. Hiren
