For the past 4 days, I have had a pain which starts in my lower back but ends in my lower abdomen. At times it is severe to the point of making me nauseated. It is eleviated by changing position If sitting, I stand for awhile and if standing I ll lay flat on my back for awhile.

Hello,

First of all, do not panic. Your symptoms can be due to urinary tract infection or calculus. Please get an ultrasound done to know more about the same. Urine routine examination will be of help.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for antispasmodics like Dicyclomineand a broad-spectrum antibiotic like Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid if there is evidence of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
 Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
