What Does Pain In The Ankle Indicate?

Hi my daughter used to run and about three months ago, she started complaining about pain in one of her ankle and if she walks a lot she has pain. We took her to urgent care and they give her some pain killer and stay away from excercise for a while. She has not done any running for almost 3 months, but she gets pain when she walks a lot. She has a summer job now which requires her to be on her feet walking all day!

hello there.
thank you for choosing HCM.
pain in her ankle can be due to muscle strain or ligament injury.Due to heavy exercise/running one can get it.It will take some time to become normal. If she feels that the intensity of pain is very severe and she is not able to walk,do x ray of ankle joint and foot to rule out other bone related cause for example small Fracture.
I hope this was helpful.
thank you..
