Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My left foot start out with Plantar F in the heel. Now that has cleared up and I have arch pain. As I am walking on a flat surface with good shoes I am fine. When I get on non flat surface such as stepping on an object that allows my foot to flex up that pain is unreal. What could this be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It could be tarsal bone collision happening in your foot. You need to get MRI of the foot to know if there is anything pathological with your tarsal bones or surrounding tissues.
If anything is found, then we can treat it accordingly. If not then it could be due to your bad walking style. Usually, we tell to walk with little heals only because tarsal arch needs to be maintained and needs some heals to support it.
Flat slippers are not advisable. Try to practice walking with any shoes which are comfortable to you. It might be your shoes which is causing all the problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
