What Does Pain In The Arms Indicate?

For 2 months experienced pain when lifting arm overhead. When picking of a dish hand feels as if I may drop it. Have taken 2 prescribed medications-- Naproxen 500 mg & Cyclobenzaprine 10mg twice daily -- no real relief. The pain has spread to both arms and seems worst at night. A friend suggested trying Turmeric Extract which is used for arthritis. I need a recommendation.

Hello,

See, you might be having a frozen shoulder which is causing restriction of the range of movements while working and the pain is still progressive. That means, there is still ongoing infection going on.

Since, you have tried NSAIDs and not got any relief so you will get relief if you start on steroids.

Steroid infiltration is the best treatment for frozen shoulder under anesthesia where they will even correct your range of movements and all your problems will be sorted out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
