What Does Pain In The Chest And Left Arm Indicate?
for several days I have been having chest pain, left arm pain, breaking out in cold clammy sweats, and have a sense that something is not right. I had a heart cath done on August 23. I have 90% blockage in one of my by-pass grafts. the doctor is treating it with renexa so I don t want to go to the ER and waste my time or theirs if they will most likly send me home without doing any thing. what is your opinion?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Since there is blockage of one of the bypass graft and you are taking the medications for that, it is better to get a consultation of your Cardiologist to get a cardiac evaluation to see if the pain is due to cardiac origin or not. If the pain is not due to heart problem then it can be due to cervical spondilitis giving referred pain to the chest and arm. If so then consult your Doctor, get a reference to the specialist for clinical examination, investigations like MRI of neck and get treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
