Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had about 3 medium level pains in my upper right chest area lasting about 5 seconds for about 1 minute. Then became light headed and strange feeling like if it kept progressing I would pass out. I did not pass out but felt a little nausea and near a cold sweat. Scared me enough to leave a grandkids flag football game and went to store and got an aspirin.
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Chest pain might be caused by many health problems, so it should never be ignored. Heart problems are the most important cause and are commonly accompanied by chest pain, nausea, fainting sensation, dizziness, but symptoms aren't always the same. However, you should go to ER and consult a doctor for a physical examination, to exclude heart problems, and perform some blood tests (complete blood count, cholesterol, triglyceride, blood glucose). Chest pain or burning sensation might also be related to gastroesophageal reflux or neuromuscular problems, but a physical examination it is needed to exclude any of these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
