What Does Pain In The Foot Indicate?

Pain - comes and goes, depending on use (walking/standing) or different shoes. Pain is in the foot above the arch area, no bone fracture or stress fracture. Wondering if there is a nerve that runs under that bone that could be causing me problems. I can rub the below the bone and it feels better.

Hello,

See nerve endings are everywhere in the foot so if you rub the area you will always feel better even though you have deeper tissue painful. So pathology might be in the deeper tissue and not below and don't its nerve also. Kindly get an x-ray of foot done to know if there is any pathological bony swelling or something is there in the body. Or you can even go for MRI foot to know the soft tissue structures better. With this investigation, we can come to any conclusion and treat you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
