Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain ( like a throbbing) in my groin, on both sides. Usually when sitting or when I go to bed and try to sleep on my side. Then my leg aches down the front of my thigh, to my knee. My back has been bothering me also. What could this be?
Firstly we would.like to know if you are a male or a female. Since both have varied causes for pain in the groin.
If you're a male, then most probably you have a problem with the testicles, perhaps torsion also. Or it might be a severe pain in the bladder due to bladder infections for which you might also have urination problems.
If you're a female, it might be mostly due to pelvic inflammatory disease where your reproductive organs might be infected. Or it might be a case of irniary tract infection.
But all I can do with the information you've provided is guess work. Kindly meet your docotrs and get initial tests like urine routine, ultrasound of the abdomen done. You'll get a clear idea of what your problem is.
