What Does Pain In The Hand After A Carpel Tunnel Surgery Indicate?
i had carpel tunnel surgery 6 weeks ago. My hand is still very sore, hurts constantly and stays swelled. Often my fingers look blue and pale. My wrist stays sore and stiff. Attempts to exercise it PT, only makes it worse. Where the ligament was clipped burns. I have almost no strength in my hand. Is this normal? Should I see my dr.?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it should be seen again by primary surgeon and may need Doppler ultrasound to confirm patency of blood supply and any further nerve impingement secondary to structural compression or due to local inflammation and in either case intervention might be needed. Meanwhile continue anti inflammatory drugs and antibiotics. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
