I have been having an issue with my heel for a few years now. I just stop going for walks and rest it for a while. It has been very painful lately. This morning I went for a 30 minute walk. I have been in pain all day. Hurts and hurts to walk/ I am icing it now. Is it time to see a doctor?

It might be due to a condition known as plantar fasciitis
A self now you can take simple analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain. If symptoms are persisting you have to consult an orthopedic and get evaluated and you might require steroid injection in severe cases.
Hope I have answered your query.
