What Does Pain In The Hips On The Right Side Indicate?

I began having hip pain on my right side since last year. Before I thought it was my groin hurting me because of overlifting and stress from my two jobs and living in a new place. I had two past separate hernia operations and been to surgeons, doctors and pain management and they found nothing broken. They said it could be a sciatic nerve pain. Hurts to bend where the hips are. Can you help me?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Hip pain if radiating to leg and having tingling sensations is most likely due to sciatica. I suggest initially to do back exercises and physiotherapy, specifically mentioning back muscle strengthening. If it persist, then better to take MRI spine and consult with pain physician to check for disc prolapse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
