What Does Pain In The Jaw, Ears And Teeth Indicate?

Pain in jaw, ear, temple and teeth on right side. Extends to chin and throat. Hurts teeth to chew and they are painful when subjected to cold. Dentist claims not tooth problem. Endodondist claims not tooth problem. Doctor claims not sinus or ear infection. It hurts to chew and can barely eat without Advil. Was life long gum chewer and eat hard foods such as nuts and chewy foods often. Friend suggested it may be TMJ. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

TMJ is one possible cause, it may also be related to the nerves that supply these area. It would be best to visit an ENT specialist for assessment and further management.

Imaging such as CT may be needed for thorough assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
