What Does Pain In The Jaw Indicate?

Right jaw Pain in trying to bite and trying to open mouth ... was ignoring until I read about tetanus. Have had several gashes since I spend most of my time working in yard... Worsened after I had my teeth cleaned.. feels like jaw poppping in and out of place when I wiggle it, then when I try to open mouth, it causes pain. Cannot eat sandwiches... ???

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks toe more like jaw joint problem and not tetanus..
Clicking and popping the jaw along with jaw pain during chewing and opening the mouth is commonly due to TMJ/TMD.
So for a confirmation you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
A Panoramic x ray should be done to rule out the exact cause of the problem..
For now take painkillers and muscle relaxants..
Take soft meals..
Avoid opening the mouth too wide..
Massage the sides of the face with round motion of finger tips..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
