What Does Pain In The Joints Of The Knees, Hips And Shoulders Indicate?

Sudden onset of painful joints. Hips, knees, shoulders. Can barely walk. Unable to bend down to floor. Cannot raise right arm above chest. Severe pain in right hip. All joints have some history of ailments, except left hip. This seems to exacerbate the issue. Eliminated alcohol from diet. Now on alkaline diet. This occurred after a cold or possible flu. I have no cold or flu symptoms now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Common conditions causing pain in the common joints are:

1) Viral Fever with poly arthritis
2) Osteoarthritis
3) Rheumatoid arthritis
5) Dengue fever
6) Chickenguniya fever
7) Trauma or injury

Do x-ray of these joints and give warm compressions. Also, apply diclofenac gel or Volini gel. I will suggest you to follow up with detailed history or consult with orthopedician for detailed examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
