My right knee starting hurting about two weeks and I don t remember spraining it. Sometimes my left knee hurts. I am 66 years old. At first I thought that i tore my miniskus but it is not swollen. When I sit or lie down it doesn t hurt. Could it be bone on bone pain? cartilege worn away? thank you sorry for typos!
Knee pain after the 60s is usually due to the age-related degeneration in joints. Besides weight-bearing and full flexion of knee further aggregate the condition. In earlier stage do the following things - -Start calcium supplements -Use western toilets -Apply hot compression over knee joints -Do physiotherapy to make supporting muscle stronger -If require use knee cap while walking. Consult an orthopedic doctor for further investigations like x-ray and blood examination to rule out rheumatoid arthritis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
