Hi, my knee has been hurting for over a month now and I don t know why it is still hurting I fell a couple of weeks ago straight down on it and it was pretty bruised but it has gone down but the pain hasn t and I play a sport but don t know what to do?
Persistent knee pain can be due to several factors like a meniscal tear, ligament injury, underlying arthritis etcetera. X-ray and MRI scan of the knee needed at this point. Please be advised to follow up with an orthopedician for evaluation. Meanwhile, use Advil up to four times a day for pain and knee brace for stabilization.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
