What Does Pain In The Left Calf Indicate?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The redness and warmth to the inner aspect is indicating possible infection. Erysipelas should be considered in this case. Should consult with your physician as soon as possible. You need to start prescription antibiotics and run a few blood tests to rule out blood infection. Keep your leg raised. Apply cold compresses on your left leg. Take analgesic medication like paracetamol or Naproxen for the pain. Once again, should consult immediately with your physician, or run to ER as soon as possible to get immediate help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
