What Does Pain In The Left Eye Indicate?

I have suffered from typhoid at the age of 14. After recovering from it my left eyeball started moving towards left from its original position. I am 21 now and I still have this problem. Sometimes I feel pain in my left eye. However my left eye moves from its place whrn I look at a distant object but remain same while looking at a near object. What should I do?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Please get a refraction done . It could be a symptom of lazy eye. Typhoid can cause weakness in the body and can also lead to refractive errors some time .

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
