Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have worked in the airline industry for the last 5 + years. In the last week my left knee has been feeling pain. it is mainly on the left side of my left knee. The pain feels like a burning sensation and like the skin is being stretched out. what could this be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pain with burning sensation and tightness can be the symptom of arthritis of the knee. You might even feel swollen knee, fever, fatigue, and other joint pains that are all due to osteoarthritis.
First, you get your knee x-ray or MRI done if you feel it's necessary. If they could find out any cause then we can give treatment or else you try to correct your posture if it is any nerve impingement then also you will have same symptoms.
Your posture while sleeping, sitting, walking and the shoes you use all do matter for the pain pathology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
