What Does Pain In The Left Leg Be Treated?

I have some moderate pain in my left leg that originates at the very bottom of the knee and extends down the outside of the lower leg. The knee has some swelling and limited range of motion but I am able to put my full weight on it with no problem. Walking is not difficult but standing is very uncomfortable. I am not aware of anything I have done such as falling, twisting, or lifting very heavy objects that would cause this.

Hello,

You might be having ACL teal due to twisting or falling or whatever may be the trivial trauma. I can't surely tell you but with examination and investigation, any pathology would be there in your knee.

Get an x-ray or MRI of the knee. If they could diagnose anything then you can get it treated accordingly. Usually if it is mild tear, it will heal on its own only.

If not then tear cases might require surgery but recovery is also early.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
